David Martin is a professional photographer, specializing in Event Photography and Portraits. He has several years experience in diverse areas of photography, including photojournalism, special events, commercial, portraiture, and landscapes. David's strengths are capturing memories using natural and studio lighting as well as shooting candid photographs. He enjoys traveling off the beaten paths, the adrenaline high of action photography and catching subjects unawares. David studied at the New York Institute of Photography and has had the opportunity to study under former National Geographic photographer Bob Madden and renowned architecture photographer E. Luria. Inspired by the late, great Gordon Parks, David believes the most important aspects of photography are the people he photographs.

Despite his busy career as an Information Technology Consultant and Professional Photographer, David makes time to be involved with community and professional organizations. He has volunteered as a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Instructor and has mentored at the Maryland Job Corps Center.

In 1998, David was awarded an Honorable discharge from the United States Air Force after serving 10 years as an Intelligence Specialist. During his service, David was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, National Defense Ribbon and countless other awards and citations.
